THEM MERPHING

It’s a breathtaking and intense contemporary dance performance, where dance celebrates the human experience.

Performances: 20.5. and 22.5. at 19 and 23.5. at 15

Venue: Nukketeatteri Sampo, Erottajankatu 7, Helsinki

We follow the current corona regulations. We make a stream during one performance if the restrictions prevent the audience from being present live at the venue.

Hunter-gatherers

Hunter-gatherers is a social experiment and a utopian art project.
It seeks inspiration from humanity’s collective past and applies what it has learned to the present. We will form a band of modern hunter-gatherers living in the urban landscape of Helsinki utilising its leftover resources. Anyone interested can join. There are also opportunities for remote participation.

At first, we invite participants to weekend workshops where we explore hunter-gatherer life and begin to create the group’s lifestyle, stories, beliefs, and values
In August, the hunter-gatherers will camp in Kalasatama in Helsinki for 11 days full time. If you want, you can join just one workshop, or participate in any or all events. You can participate both in English and Finnish.

It’s a weird and hilariously wicked story that you most likely hate or love. Lust is a kind of  “erotic” comedy of corona times where the lonely search connection to themselves, to others and altogether to something. It’s about these pitiful five characters trying to survive in an isolated and somewhat strange world. They are connected only by their deep sexual desires. Is it entertainment? Maybe. Or maybe it’s just like a quick wank – it will make you feel better for a minute or so.
